When an important day like your anniversary rolls around you can't just stick with your old, reliable date night routine. This is a chance to show your partner just how much they mean to you by planning the perfect dinner date for two. With a little bit of special preparation and thoughtfulness, you can easily give them the gift of a romantic night that they won't soon forget.

Plan the Perfect Anniversary Dinner Date in 5 Simple Steps

1. Dinner Destination

This is the perfect opportunity to shake things up a bit and head to a restaurant that's not on your list of regular dinner spots. Pick a restaurant like A Taste Of Saigon, that is a little bit of a departure from your regular, every day dinner and make sure you'll be sitting down to eat at a reasonable hour. Go for authentic Vietnamese or some other exotic cuisine that is sure to leave your partner feeling happy and full at the end of the evening.

2. Hire a Car Service

Arrive at the restaurant in style by hiring a car service. Surprise your partner with the gift of a stress-free trip to and from the restaurant and feel free to indulge in some champagne along the way. If being chauffeured isn't your style, you can always rent a classy vehicle for the night instead.

3. Put Away Your Phone

Prepare to go without your phone for a few hours while you enjoy spending time with your date and relax in the restaurant. If you have children, let the babysitter know they should only ring you in case of an emergency and keep your phone on vibrate in your pocket. Otherwise, keep phones off the table and out of sight so you can focus on celebrating your love in peace.

4. Save Gifts for Later

Keep the night running smoothly and save any gift giving for a more private location. Although a surprise gift reveal can be fun for some, other diners at the restaurant may not want their meal interrupted by your show of affection. Whether you exchange gifts before or after dinner, keep it between the two of you.

5. Get the Check

You are the one taking your partner out for dinner after all. If your partner offers to pay, insist that you've got it covered tonight and offer to let them pay next time. Since this is a special occasion it's okay to splurge a bit on drinks, your main courses and dessert!
